Community Partners

The Warwick Health Equity Zone has various community partners that are dedicated to serving the community of Warwick.

CCAP is Warwick Health Equity Zone's backbone agency. Comprehensive Community Action Program is a private, nonprofit community action agency formed under the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act. CCAP is one of Rhode Island’s largest organizations dedicated solely to fighting the war on poverty. CCAP provides a wide spectrum of services designed to help those in immediate need and empower anyone desiring to become more self-sufficient.

​West Bay Community Action is a charitable organization serving the people of Kent County. We help with food, utilities, health, safety, and education. Our mission is to empower and mobilize people through our programs, partnerships, and advocacy to gain greater self-sufficiency. Individuals and families gain stability through basic needs assistance. They improve their circumstances with education, life-skills training, and case management.

Thrive Behavioral Health’s mission is to improve the quality of life of people in its community by promoting growth, mutual interdependence, and recovery. Thrives staff helps people create positive and lasting change regardless of their age, income, or insurance status. 

Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center's mission is to end the perpetration and societal tolerance of interpersonal violence, including all forms of domestic and sexual abuse, and until that is achieved, to provide comprehensive services to victims and education in the community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick is a non-profit organization working to help youth of all background, with a special concern for those who need us most, develop the qualities to become responsible citizens and leaders. Core services include activities such as educational games, tutoring, drug prevention, sports and physical education, recreation, arts & crafts, and environmental awareness, etc.

Anchor Recovery is a supportive community of peers with lived experience dedicated to providing addiction recovery supports. At Anchor, we believe in multiple pathways of recovery. Anchor members encourage each other to find new ways of living through meaningful relationships, health and wellness activities, social events, and a sense of community. Anchor Recovery Community Centers are located in Providence and Warwick. Their community outreach teams strive to meet people where they are at.

The Warwick Public Library has multiple branches across Warwick offering a variety of family friendly services, events, activities, and resources. 

The Kent County Prevention Coalition’s mission is to build a healthier community by preventing and reducing harmful substance use behaviors in Kent County, focusing on youth. Resources include guides for parents, youth, and podcasts and PSAs that revolve around youth, substance use prevention, mental health, and related issues.

PSNRI is a group of parents, family members, transition age youth, and adults with behavioral health lived experience who are committed to supporting and assisting peers and working with statewide and national partners to empower children, youth, families and individuals through dynamic supports, education, and advocacy to prevent abuse and neglect, reduce disparities, and progress towards universal health, wellness, and recovery.
